Wellness Exchange: Managing Reactions
Wellness Exchange is intended to help you increase your coping and self-efficacy through strengthening skills for managing the stressors of daily life. Building these skills helps you become more resilient so that you can cope better during stressful events, such as COVID-19. These skills will also help you manage life’s little stressors (e.g., sitting in traffic, waiting in line, dealing with difficult situations) and feel more in control of your life. Wellness Exchange encourages self-reflection and teaches five main skills: problem solving, positive activities, managing reactions, helpful thinking, and healthy connections.

Managing Reactions – Why is this important?
• Physical and emotional reactions happen as a response to life’s stressors
• Having confidence that we are able to effectively manage our emotions is important to:
- help protect our well-being
- maintain our healthy connections
- make effective decisions
- respond in healthy ways
